OEM Curtain Manufacturing Customization Approval Guide
OEM And Custom Curtains | 06/18/2026
OEM curtain manufacturing gives buyers many customization choices, but every choice creates an approval point. A written approval matrix helps importers, wholesalers, project buyers, and private-label teams control revisions before fabric booking and bulk sewing begin.
Define the Product Before Asking for a Final Price
An OEM curtain quotation changes when fabric route, color, finished size, heading, fullness, lining, accessory, label, or pack method changes. Buyers should use a SKU table instead of describing the program only through reference photos. Review the available OEM and ODM curtain support before fixing the sample route.
Build a Customization Approval Matrix
The matrix should list each decision, the buyer's requirement, the supplier's confirmation, the approval sample or artwork, the revision date, and the person authorized to release it. This prevents an approved fabric swatch from being confused with approval of the finished size, heading, label, or packaging.
Approve Construction as a Finished Curtain
Fabric swatches do not show pleat spacing, hook position, side hems, bottom hems, lining length, seam placement, pair matching, or packing recovery. Request a finished sample using the intended construction and record its measurements and photographs.
Separate Branding From Packaging
Sewn labels, care labels, hangtags, barcodes, insert cards, retail bags, carton marks, and pack ratios require separate files and checks. A correct logo does not confirm that a barcode scans, a care label matches the fabric route, or a carton mark matches the purchase order.
Lock the Bulk Release Record
Before production, issue one release record containing approved revisions, tolerance basis, sample references, inspection checkpoints, and the process for handling later changes. New instructions after fabric booking should be logged as changes with cost and lead-time impact.
