Curtain Specification Sheet for Bulk Orders

Many curtain order problems begin before production because the buyer and supplier are not using the same specification language. A simple curtain specification sheet helps importers, wholesalers, hotel buyers, and private label brands confirm what will be produced, inspected, packed, and shipped.

Why a Curtain Spec Sheet Matters

A curtain is not only fabric. It includes finished width, finished drop, heading style, fullness, lining, hem size, side seam, label position, packaging, and carton marks. When these details are written clearly, sample approval becomes faster and bulk production risk becomes lower.

1. Product and Fabric Information

Start with product type, fabric name, material composition, GSM or weight range, fabric width, color name, color code, and approved swatch reference. For blackout curtains, also confirm whether the blackout effect comes from coating, black yarn, lining, or multilayer construction.

2. Finished Size and Fullness

Write finished curtain width and finished drop, not only window size. If the order uses pleats or tape, confirm fullness ratio. For project orders, also define size tolerance so both sides understand the acceptable range during final inspection.

3. Heading Style and Accessories

Different markets prefer different heading styles: grommet, pencil pleat, pinch pleat, wave tape, rod pocket, hook tape, or custom styles. The spec sheet should include heading height, tape type, grommet size and color, hook requirement, and whether accessories are packed together.

4. Lining, Layering, and Light Control

If the curtain includes lining, specify lining material, color, attachment method, and whether the lining is separate or sewn together. For hotel and high-sun markets, buyers should define whether the goal is dimout, high blackout, thermal improvement, privacy, or decorative layering.

5. Labels, Packaging, and Carton Marks

Private label and retail orders need clearer packaging rules. Include brand label, care label, insert card, barcode, polybag size, carton quantity, carton mark, country of origin mark, and any language requirements. For project orders, room number or area labels can save installation time.

6. Sample Approval and QC Reference

The approved sample should become the production reference. Record sample date, fabric lot, color, size, sewing details, packaging, and any buyer comments. During inspection, compare bulk goods against this reference for color, size, stains, holes, sewing quality, and packing accuracy.

A Simple Curtain Spec Sheet Should Include

• Buyer name, project or SKU name, and target market.
• Fabric details, approved color, and approved sample reference.
• Finished size, fullness, heading style, lining, and tolerance.
• Label, packaging, barcode, carton mark, and packing quantity.
• Inspection standard, sample approval date, and delivery schedule.
