What makes a curtain RFQ easier to quote?
A useful RFQ separates finished size, fabric construction, heading style, sample approval, labels, carton marks, packing method, destination, and target delivery schedule. This helps suppliers quote faster and reduces hidden changes after deposit.
After generating the draft, buyers should still attach drawings, reference photos, fabric targets, color standards, and any private label requirements. If the project has multiple room types or retail SKUs, separate the quotation by item so MOQ, fabric width, cutting loss, and packaging cost can be checked clearly.
A clean RFQ also helps compare suppliers fairly. Ask each factory to quote the same specification basis, including sample lead time, bulk lead time, payment terms, carton dimensions, inspection support, and what is included or excluded from the unit price. Keep the final RFQ version with the supplier response so later sample comments and purchase order changes can be traced.
