Why freight estimates matter for curtain buyers

Curtains are soft goods, but packed volume can still affect landed cost. Importers should compare product price with gross weight, CBM, carton method, destination port, and delivery urgency before confirming order quantity.

Use the estimate to decide whether a quotation should request air freight, LCL, or container planning. For small urgent samples, air freight may be acceptable, while hotel and wholesale replenishment orders usually need carton dimensions, gross weight, and a loading plan before comparing landed cost.

Freight cost can change after fabric weight, lining choice, compression method, retail packaging, and room-by-room carton marks are confirmed. Buyers should ask the factory to show carton quantity, packed CBM, gross weight, shipping mark rules, and the preferred export port together with the product quotation. This also makes it easier to compare suppliers on a landed-cost basis instead of judging only the curtain unit price.
