Curtain Sample Revision Cutoff Before Bulk Fabric Booking
First Order Sample Control | 07/11/2026
A sample can keep improving forever, but bulk fabric booking cannot. First-order importers need a clear revision cutoff so color, heading, finished size, lining, packaging, MOQ, and lead time are frozen before deposit and production planning move forward.
Why The Cutoff Matters Before Deposit
The cutoff belongs inside the curtain order checklist before deposit payment. Once fabric is booked, a late change can affect dye lot, usable width, lining route, cutting plan, packaging files, carton count, and the factory's production slot.
Freeze The Version Buyers Are Actually Approving
| Revision item | Freeze before booking | Buyer risk reduced |
|---|
| Fabric and color | Final fabric code, lab dip, handfeel note, blackout route, and accepted shade range. | Bulk fabric does not match the approved sample route. |
| Finished construction | Finished width, drop, fullness, heading, lining, side hem, bottom hem, hook or grommet detail. | Production starts from an outdated sample comment. |
| Packaging and labels | Care label, brand label, barcode, insert card, polybag, carton mark, and pack ratio. | Private-label files change after sewing or packing starts. |
| QC evidence | Measurement photo rules, hanging photo angle, packing photo set, carton fields, and balance-payment review point. | Acceptance standard becomes vague after deposit. |
Separate Minor Comments From New Development
Minor corrections can be carried into bulk with a written action owner. New fabric, new color, new heading, new lining, or new packaging structure should trigger a quotation and lead-time check. If the sample path is still open, use curtain sample support before paying the deposit.
Connect The Cutoff To MOQ And Lead Time
Mixed orders need extra discipline because one SKU revision can delay other SKUs in the same booking window. Use the curtain MOQ and lead-time planning guide for mixed orders to decide whether a revised SKU stays in the first batch or moves to a later reorder.
Keep Private-Label Revisions Traceable
Private-label buyers should freeze artwork version, barcode file, care label, carton mark, and pack ratio together with the sample version. Store the approved files in the private label curtain manufacturing record so reorders do not restart from chat screenshots.
Do Not Forget Carton And Freight Fields
Even sample changes can affect carton count, carton size, gross weight, and CBM. When the approved sample changes weight, lining, fold size, or pack ratio, ask the supplier to update the fields that later feed the bulk curtain shipping estimator.
