Private Label Curtain RFQ Pack Before Quote
Private Label Sourcing | 05/28/2026
Private label curtain quotes become faster and more comparable when buyers send a clean RFQ pack instead of a loose request. A good pack gives the curtain manufacturer enough information to price the same product basis, plan the right sample route, and identify packaging or MOQ issues before the order moves forward.
Start With a Product Matrix
List each curtain style, fabric direction, color, size, heading, lining or blackout construction, and expected quantity. If the order includes blackout curtains, sheers, and matched accessories, keep them in one matrix so the supplier can see which items belong to the same retail program.
Share the Target Sales Channel
A distributor carton program is different from a retail-ready private label program. Tell the supplier whether the goods will be sold through wholesalers, chain stores, online marketplaces, hotel projects, or regional distributors. This changes label placement, barcode handling, carton marks, and the way samples should be reviewed.
Prepare Fabric and Performance Notes
For blackout curtains, state the preferred construction, lining expectation, light-control level, handfeel, and target weight if known. For sheers, note transparency, drape, width, and color continuity expectations. If the supplier should suggest alternatives, say which details are fixed and which can be adjusted for cost or lead time.
Include Brand, Label, and Barcode Rules
Private label orders often slow down because labels and barcodes arrive after production planning has started. Add brand name rules, sewn label artwork, care label language, hangtag or insert-card needs, barcode format, SKU list, and carton mark requirements to the RFQ pack when possible.
Explain MOQ and Mixed-Order Expectations
Buyers should show the target order split by fabric, color, size, and packaging type. A private label curtain manufacturer can then explain which parts can use stock fabric, which parts need custom dyeing, and where MOQ pressure will appear. This is especially important for regional importers building mixed programs for several markets.
Define the Sample Decision
Say whether the first sample is for fabric selection, finished curtain size, heading appearance, label position, barcode scan, packaging approval, or all of these together. The right sample support path prevents a buyer from approving fabric while packaging or label details remain unclear.
Make QC and Delivery Assumptions Visible
Ask the supplier to quote with the intended inspection scope, production-photo records, packing-photo records, and shipment timing. If the buyer needs pre-shipment inspection, carton photo approval, or phased delivery, the RFQ should mention it before price comparison begins.
