Hotel Room Window Curtains RFQ Checklist For Project Buyers
Hotel Curtain Procurement | 06/06/2026
Hotel room window curtains are usually purchased as a coordinated room package, not as single decorative panels. The RFQ needs to connect blackout performance, sheer privacy, measurements, track clearance, room labels, sample approval, and phased delivery before the factory can quote accurately.
Start With the Room Schedule
A useful hotel curtain quote starts with room count, room type, window quantity, opening width, ceiling height, track position, and installation method. If the same hotel has standard rooms, suites, restaurants, and meeting rooms, separate them in the RFQ instead of averaging the size.
Quote Blackout and Sheer Layers Together
Most hotel rooms need a blackout layer for sleep comfort and a sheer layer for daytime privacy. Quoting both layers together helps the supplier check stack space, fullness, track clearance, color direction, and whether the sheer fabric works beside the blackout face fabric. For room-package support, review hotel curtains and blackout options before finalizing the RFQ.
Define Performance Before Design Language
Hospitality and contract textile buyers are looking for functional fabrics that still support a strong interior concept. In practice, the buyer should define blackout rate, FR route if required, care method, shrinkage tolerance, seam direction, and color continuity before choosing the final texture or pattern.
Confirm Measurements in Finished-Curtain Terms
Factories need finished width, finished drop, fullness, heading style, hook position, hem allowance, and whether panels are single-way draw or pair draw. If the project only sends wall opening sizes, the supplier may quote fabric roughly, but the sample and bulk production risk remain high.
Make the Sample Match the Real Room
A hotel room sample should include the actual blackout fabric, sheer fabric, heading, lining if used, hooks, label, packaging method, and carton mark direction. The sample is also the right time to check side hems, bottom weight, steaming result, light leakage, handfeel, and room presentation.
Plan Packaging and Room Labels Early
Project curtain packing is different from retail packing. Buyers may need room-number labels, floor labels, carton sequence, installation notes, spare hooks, and separated cartons for mock-up rooms. Clear packing rules reduce sorting time on site and help the project team avoid mixing panels between rooms.
