Hotel Curtain Track Clearance Fullness Measurement Guide
Hotel Measurement Planning | 06/16/2026
Hotel curtain measurements must connect the room schedule, track layout, fullness ratio, overlap, return, floor clearance, and finished sample. Small measurement gaps can create blackout leakage, dragging panels, difficult stacking, or installation delays.
Measure the Track, Not Only the Window
Hotel room window curtains are usually produced to the track or rail system. The RFQ should show track width, track shape, ceiling or wall fixing, bends, carriers, end stops, and any split points before the supplier calculates finished panel width.
Set Fullness by Fabric and Heading
Fullness affects cost, stack depth, appearance, and light control. Buyers comparing hotel drapes should specify whether blackout panels, sheers, and decorative layers use the same fullness or different ratios.
Define Overlap and Return
Overlap helps reduce center light gaps. Return helps control side leakage near the wall. The project specification should state center overlap, side return, track projection, and whether the curtain must wrap back to the wall or stop at a bracket.
Confirm Floor Clearance and Finished Drop
Finished drop should consider hook setting, carrier height, floor finish, carpet thickness, steaming, and acceptable clearance. If room floors vary, the buyer should define measurement grouping and tolerance before approving production length.
Use One Sample Room Before Bulk Cutting
A sample room checks track movement, stack area, blackout overlap, sheer clearance, hem level, fullness appearance, and installation speed. Approve photos and measurement notes from the sample room before cutting all rooms.
